Experience Canada’s largest wine festival at this six-day celebration of Niagara wine in historic Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines; one of the oldest and most beautiful parks in the Niagara that comes alive for two weekends in September. A celebration of Niagara and the bounty of harvest, the Montebello Park wine and culinary experience truly showcases all that the Region has to offer.
Grab your friends and get ready for the best party of the year in Niagara as you head down to the park to enjoy over 100 wines, mouthwatering local cuisine, 50 hours of live music and a variety of entertaining wine seminars.
* Entrance into Montebello Park is free (not guaranteed- subject to capacity limitations).
* Tokens must be purchased for food and wine.
* VQA Wines are prices at 2-3 tokens per glass.
* Local chefs are serving regional for 1-3 tokens per portion.

The brand-new #WineLife exhibit, a pop-up installation featuring four engaging pods, offers up multisensory experiences that immerse you in Niagara’s wine country in Montebello Park!
The Centre Stage
Montebello Park is the premier setting for most of the Festival’s featured events including a great lineup of activities for the entire family. Experience award-winning wineries, Niagara cuisine and great entertainment each weekend. Enjoy your favourite local bands and a lineup of tribute bands as you sip and savour the best in Niagara. Keep your eyes peeled for the 2019 entertainment line-up!

Anyone over the age of 19 must wear a wristband in order to be served wine
SMOKING- No smoking is allowed on Montebello Park property. The Regional No Smoking By-Law enforcement will be in effect.
It is a violation of Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario’ liquor laws to bring alcoholic beverages inside Montebello park. Our event staff and security is committed to enforcing the liquor laws and alcoholic beverages brought inside the park will be confiscated.
All guests, regardless of age, will be asked to show ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages and will be provided a wristband. Wristbands must be visible when purchasing wine tasting and winery staff have the ability to ask for ID if they suspect someone wearing a wristband in not of legal drinking age
The NGWF staff reserves the right to deny admission and/or alcohol to anyone that is intoxicated or poses a hazard to public safety.
Providing alcohol to minors, and possession of alcohol by minors is a violation of the province’s liquor laws. Guests furnishing alcohol to minors and minors in possession of alcohol will be removed from the park
Anyone that appears to be under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol will not be permitted into the park
Last Call will be 10:15 sharp each evening and token booths will close at that time as well

Central Taxi will provide a Get Home Safe Program with taxi stands available at the Lake Street exit
Please be advised that Montebello Park festivities are only active during the weekends of the Festival. Wineries are open throughout the week for tours and tastings, but Discovery Pass events only occur on the weekend as well.
AGCO Special Occasion Permit Conditions
- Only One bottle of wine per person per transaction
- Wine must be consumed out of the commemorative acrylic glass. No glass is allowed in the park. Security has the right to confiscate bottles should someone be drinking directly from it
- Winery partners are strictly forbidden to give customers corks or screw tops

There will be a family entrance at Lake Street, strollers and wagons will be inspected
Lost and Found
The Niagara Grape and Wine Festival is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Guests should contact the administration office regarding lost and found items 905-688-0212
No smoking within any seating or general standing area.
Smoking is NOT permitted in Montebello Park as per Regional No Smoking bylaws. Individuals caught smoking will be fined.
