Niagara Grape & Wine Festival

Experience Niagara's beauty in a fresh, safe way with the Grape & Wine Discovery Pass.

Fall is a great time to explore Niagara with a wine festival Discovery Pass. Enjoy carefully curated wine pairings with world-class seasonal cuisine from Niagara’s talented chefs.

NOTE: All tastings must be reserved in advance, using our new Reservation System powered by RBC. Reservation window closes 24 hours in advance, and space is limited so book early! Click “Reserve your spot” below to see availability and book your adventure. You will need a valid Discovery Pass to be admitted to the winery. Please note that wineries are offering socially distant tasting stations, which limits the number of guests they can host. Large groups are encouraged to visit on Friday or Sunday.

Reservation system, powered by RBC

The link to the reservation system will be emailed once you have purchased your Discovery Pass tickets. Reserving your experiences in advance will be required, and we recommend that you book your spots as soon as possible to ensure that you can visit your favourite wineries as space will be limited, all to align with updated COVID-19 restrictions.

New Self-guided Virtual Tours

Another new feature to the Discovery Pass program this year is self-guided virtual winery tours! Before or after your Discovery Pass experience, you can enjoy a “virtual tour” of the winery through a brand new platform. Each winery will have a QR code that links to great content including winemaker tasting notes, vineyard updates from the growers, audio storytelling and more. This is free of charge, so get outside with a glass of wine and enjoy your time in Niagara Wine Country!

Make your Reservations, powered by RBC

Please note that reservations are only available to Discovery Pass holders.

A few things to note when booking:

  1. You need one reservation per group – if you’re travelling as a single, a pair, four guests or more, you only require a single reservation. You will be asked how many guests are joining you as you book.
  2. There are limits on group sizes – the reservation system will only allow you to book up to that amount. If you are a larger group, please book multiple reservations at the same time.
  3. If booking more than one group at a winery under one name, please add “#2, #3” after second and third reservations so staff know that it isn’t booked in error.
  4. Your "group” must be members of your bubble – please only book guests in your group that are in your COVID bubble. If you aren’t able to be within 6 feet of one of your group, they will need to make a separate reservation.
  5. Please only book reservations for wineries you plan to visit. The winery industry, like everyone, is recovering from the impact of COVID. Each reservation that is “skipped” results in financial losses for that winery, and now, more than ever, we want to show support.
  6. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, please do so as soon as possible. Your confirmation email will give you instructions how to do this.

When you arrive:

  1. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your reservation time. At that time please check in at the Discovery Pass reception area with your entire group. You do not need to show your reservation – just give the winery staff member the name of the reservation.
  2. If you arrive earlier than 5 minutes please either stay in your car or wander the vineyard/winery area. We ask that you don’t check in early so we can avoid line-ups and congestion.
  3. Be COVID-safe! The same rules apply at the wineries as everywhere else – you must wear your mask until you are at the Discovery Pass tasting station, must participate in social distancing (unless with members of your bubble), and must follow all posted signs at the wineries. The wineries are stringent with safe practices and will be disinfecting between each tasting, will have hand sanitizer readily available and will have all other policies and procedures posted. Thank you for your assistance with this.
  4. All guests in your group MUST have and present their Discovery Pass (paper copy or have their scan code available on their phone). Winery staff will scan for each Discovery Pass experience that has been booked.

While it may look a little different than in the past, the Discovery Pass program will provide wine lovers with a fresh, safe way to taste and experience fall harvest in Niagara. We’re using all all-new reservation system, on-site “virtual tours”, and each winery will be strictly adhering to safety protocols so you can rest easy and focus on the wine, food and fun!

What's new in 2020?

Book your winery visits ahead of time and have a “front of the line” experience with our new reservation system, powered by RBC! This new system will allow you to reserve your trip specific to your party size and allows for notification of food allergies so that everyone can enjoy their visit to wine country! For the full winery experience, take it a step further and enjoy a “virtual tour” before or after your tasting. Just scan a QR code and take in the vineyard updates, tasting notes, and more!

Experience the wineries.

Before or after your Discovery Pass experience, you can enjoy a “virtual tour” of the winery through our brand new platform. Each winery will have a QR code that links to great content including winemaker tasting notes, vineyard updates from the growers, audio storytelling and more. Where can I buy Discovery Pass tickets?

Passes are sold out

Can I share my Discovery Pass?

Each Discovery Pass is loaded with 8 scans - that's 8 food and wine pairings total. This means that you can split the Discovery Pass by bringing along a friend, and enjoy 4 pairings each.

Are there options for people with dietary restrictions?

Absolutely! While most wineries have a vegetarian option available, please review the wine and food pairings on our website for vegan, gluten free and dairy free options.

What COVID precautions are in place?

Each winery will be strictly adhering to safety protocols per the Province of Ontario and the Niagara Regional Public Health. This will/may include:

  • Discovery Pass experiences by reservation only. Guests may be refused service if they do not book in advance;
  • Reservation system will prevent long line-ups. Guests are recommended to stay in their vehicles until their reservation time. If line-ups do occur, they will be managed in a socially distant way;
  • Winery staff will be wearing PPE during preparation and service of Discovery Pass tastings – culinary and wine service – as mandated by Public Health;
  • Plastic wine glasses and disposable service items may be used at the discretion of the winery. This is not required as winery dishwashers sanitize glassware;
  • Paper event programs will not be printed.
