  • Job Title: Guest Services Coordinator

    Organization: Niagara Grape & Wine Festival

    Hours: 5-10 hours per week on average, with up to full-time hours during peak event times

    The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is Canada’s largest celebration of Niagara’s grape and wine industry. Each year, we bring together local winemakers, food enthusiasts, and the community to celebrate our region’s unique wine culture through a variety of events and experiences. Our goal is to provide unforgettable festival experiences while fostering a sense of community and connection.

     

    About the Role:

    The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is looking for a passionate and proactive Guest Services Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will handle customer service inquiries across various communication channels, including email, phone, in-person, and social media. You will also assist in engaging with our community, supporting initiatives that elevate the guest experience and deepen connections with festival attendees. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills across guest services, community relations, and event coordination.

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Manage and respond to customer service requests through email, phone, social media, and in-person interactions

    • Proactively identify and address customer service needs to ensure guest satisfaction

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to support community engagement initiatives that contribute to an enhanced guest experience

    • Provide timely and effective solutions to customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction

    • Assist in gathering feedback from guests and the community to improve future festival experiences

    • Represent the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival in a positive, community-focused manner at events and engagements

    • Assist with administrative tasks and support festival team members as required

     

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in customer service

    • Ability to manage multiple communication channels effectively

    • A proactive problem solver who can identify and address service gaps

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and how they contribute to guest experience

    • Proficiency with Office 365, especially Microsoft Outlook

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills

    • Passionate about fostering positive guest experiences and community relations

    • Previous experience in events, festivals, or tourism is an asset

    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    Work Environment:

    This role will require flexibility, including attending events and assisting in-person at various festival locations. Some work can be done remotely, with regular check-ins with the festival team. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with a diverse group of guests, and adapting to changing festival needs.

     

    Compensation:

    The hourly rate for this position is $18.50.

     

    Physical Requirements:

    This role may require standing for long periods, occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), and working outdoors during festival events.
